About Me

Nathalie Alyon Headshot

I'm a licensed Transpersonal Psychotherapist, originally from Turkey. I moved as a teenager with my family to the USA, where I completed my undergraduate studies. In my 20s I relocated to Tel Aviv, where I live with my husband, son and dog. Having uprooted my life so many times, I identify with the challenges involved starting a new life, which has come to serve my clients, who are often expats or new immigrants. My life experiences have shaped my work as a therapist. I believe that with empathy, compassion and curiosity, a knowledgeable therapist can help a client even if they have not personally experienced the particular issues they bring to the sessions. On the other hand, having walked the path does help. All the tools and techniques I use with my clients (i.e. guided meditation, breath work, somatic work, family constellations, and more), I practice in my own journey of growth, development and healing. That remains my personal oath as a therapist: to walk the path that I preach to my clients. I specialize in chronic pain, anxiety, and health related issues. Indeed, it was through my personal experience with chronic pain that led me to explore the mind-body connection professionally to not only to heal myself but help others unlock the potential of our bodies' power to heal. In addition to in-person sessions at my clinic in Tel Aviv, I see clients abroad via zoom. I also accompany cancer patients at Ichilov Hospital, helping them cope with their disease and treatment.

Testimonial: Past client, two years after the conclusion of therapy:
"I know it's been years but I had to tell you that I passed my driving test yesterday. This was the hardest thing I've ever done and I really credit you with so much of it. Learning how to calm my body down was the only way I could start driving lessons without panicking. I'm just so appreciative and happy that I saw your post that day. Thank you for everything!! And I hope you and your family are doing really well."

My Approach

"The body knows how to heal itself; it just needs to be given the opportunity." - Peter Levine

I hold a person-centered, trans-personal approach to therapy. From a trans-personal viewpoint, the goal of therapy is not necessarily to remove psychopathology but rather encourage higher human development through an expansion of consciousness. As such, my clients are not defined by their diagnosis or the problems they bring to the clinic. Rather, my sessions are modelled after a yogic process where my clients' role is to discover and recall their true essence as spiritual beings with unlimited potential. As a therapist, my role is to provide a safe space for this process to unravel and to accompany them through every step of the way.
